It took six years of prayer but Starbucks finally made its way to South Africa (thank you World Cup). Unfortunately and fortunately (for the budget’s sake) there is not one close in proximity to our home nor to where I spend my time.
However a McCafe' popped up just down the road. I’m so NOT a McDonald’s fan, however I heard that the new McCafe' has decent coffee, so who am I to deny a cuppa java a try?
And though I never thought I’d see the day, I must say….

I'm not a coffee drinker, but I read somewhere that McDonald's coffee is number on in polls and wins out even over Starbucks (maybe the price is factored into that).
So glad your prayers were answered. : )
I've never tried it so I'll have to but your Father and Mike say they don't like it (it's too sweet) but then they don't like lattes at Starbucks either.
So Starbucks are opening up in South Africa and closing here in the Villages, Florida; another one just closed on Spanish Springs Town Square. Now if they close the one in Lake Sumter Landing I'll think something is drastically wrong.
Mom
Def. more affordable. Mom, you make me lol!
Just had my first Starbucks this weeks in about a year. Must say it was yum-my!
I try not to buy specialty drinks, but once awhile it's a real treat. I've had McD's, too and they are just fine for me.
I'm so not a coffee snob, LOL
Of course your McCafe serves in a real cup. Excellent. Just like in Kenya when I LIVED for Cream mate
Wow, that's one fancy schmancy cup.
