A Merry Heart

The first day in December on this side of the globe was a festive one. In fact it is one I look forward to all year long. Today marked our annual Christmas party in one of the squatter camps in which we work. It is a fun celebration for those that would not normally partake of the seasonal festivities we often take for granted. Beautiful children living in areas like this…….

So today was their day. And it sure was fun to spoil them with jumping castles, games, face painting, and crafts………..

Sweets, treats and faces full of food…………

Presents like this………………….

And of course the explanation of the REASON for the Season…………

Children left with arms full of goodies, yogurt mustaches and faces aglow......

The Franzenfam has had its share of infirmity this week but tis true a merry heart doeth good like a medicine. What a great day!

Looks like you all had a very fun time. The joy on the faces of those beautiful children is priceless. I love the photo of your family in the sidebar. I read your post about having trouble getting everybody to cooperate at pic. time...boy do I know how that feels. We tried that torture on ourselves just before thanksgiving. I think I'll wait to try that again for another year. :0)

I really do like all your family posts and funny stories, but I really love the ones like this that give us a taste of what you're doing over there.

Amazing.

Keep up the good work!

i love seeing pictures of the people who are touched through your ministry! that is what Christ came FOR. that is what we are supposed to be doing. not piling up more and more for ourselves each christmas...but touching eachother with our generosity in a way that will lead them to Jesus.

How wonderful that is! We are adopting a family this year and buying Christmas presents for them and their dinner. I always am grateful for what I have because I know that I am very lucky and blessed. Love the new background and your picture on the sidebard. Very pretty!
