Good Ole Pooh

The potty training isn’t going so well but at least she is getting something done while sitting there. It isn’t just one book to look at any more it is a whole stack. I thought Winnie the Pooh books might add a psychological nudge and actually she finished up with something to flush.

My new potty training slogan, “Come poop with Pooh!”

So do you think this is one of those marketing ideas I should jump on?

Go for it!!! My mom has pictures of me sitting on my potty chair while watching TV. At least the books are a little better. Cooper is 3 and still insists on pooping in his pants. I guess he likes that mushy feel. YUCK! Good luck with the training!

I thought I should explain why the "potty" is in her bedroom opposed to the bathroom. My floor to ceiling tiled bathrooms are really cold this time of year so not real condusive to potty training. I don't even like having to go in the bathroom....wonder if I could rig something up in my bedroom. Kidding...I know that is gross!

I bought a Pooh potty for Gage so I think I'll steal your slogan! Love it! :)

Michelle Lee - I don't know about you - potty pictures yet. Boy is she going to love it when she gets older and sees the pictures! Who knows - your idea may be the million dollar one.

Oh how I hated potty training! I'm glad I'm not in your shoes. She is adorable.

I can't believe how organized your bookshelf is! Did you do that just for the photo or are you simply THAT amazing?

I agree with your mom... she is going to have a few words about that picture! Thankfully I was the last of four children, so there are no potty training pictures of me!

It's a good thing she looks so cute. She is not going to be happy with 'mom' someday.
Hey~whatever works!

I took pic's of my daughter, too. Only she's screaming in them, because she didn't want to take them. Smart little cookie, that one. We struggled with training, until we visited her friends pre-school class. I asked her if she had fun afterwards. When she said yes, I told her she would have to learn to go on the potty before she could go. It worked like a charm. Three weeks later she was completely trained and we've only had one accident at night. Good luck!

I'm really not working at it that hard...being number 3 I've learned not to stress it comes (no pun intended) when they are ready. Her potty is used more as a stool at this point but every once in a while she gets the urge. Its also a bad season here to force this...so cold and lots of clothing.

Oh and Karen, I am just that amazing...hee!!

Funny marketing idea, Michelle.

BTW, it's so good Tori just sits on her potty with her books. I've been bribing Alex with fruit snacks. :-/ It works, though.

Hey, every kid needs their picture on the potty. It's great for wedding fun!
I'm sure the reading thing was learned from her mom. Finding your bathroom is used as an entry way for your home, I would not be surprised if it is also the reading room. People do things different in SA! She probably thinks it's normal to sit and read as she does her business. Mom, you know what they say, "Children learn what they live."
Michelle, any other photo you would like to share? Nevermind, we will just trust that this is NOT a SA way of life, hehe.
I also taught my kids to sit and read or sing or even wave bye bye when they finally figured the whole thing out. What a party we had!

Good luck with the potty training.
We've tried the candy or gum in a jar and the sticker chart. They worked.

I think you have something here. "Come Poop With Pooh!" You could use all the characters from Pooh and write different children's books. Let's see, Tigger, Kanga, Roo, Eeore... "Come Pee-er-more with Eeore!" Okay, so I admit this was off the cuff.
