Along with silver and red on my tree, I like stars and snowflakes. One of my main stars is featured in this shot...
Stockings are hung .....
The kid's tree. I prefer to think we have a kid tree and a me tree because I am a cool mom that let's her kids decorate their own tree opposed to the thinking that I am anal and want my tree my way......
The table no one is allowed to eat at (again this has nothing to do with my OCD)......
My own little creation....and hey don't knock it, it is hard to get the ornaments in the right place on the already assembled centerpiece (hee).....
One of my favorite decorations. My mother made this pretty little snow village....
Some of our favorite Christmas stories.......
Another portion of the "kid's corner" that is sweet. All decorations they have recently made and we are continuing to add too...the candles, the nativity, Skyler even created her own book version of the Christmas story....
And I will end this little tour (insert yawn here) with my African Christmas tree that I purchased from a street vendor last year. Thought it was kinda cool.....
Next year why don't you all come over for a personal tour...I might even let you help with the tree.

I love the table that you won't let anyone eat at. Sounds like something I would do. I would LOVE to come in person and help hand out Christmas gifts to the children of Africa!!!
i'm not sure i'm liking the 'rap' i'm getting in all this...but i can handle it:0)
i love that you refer to your OCD...i do that all the time. some major therapy needed over here. i like the table the best. beautiful. if i'd done that, i'd be stopping any fingers from touching or eating near it as well:0)
"Sargent's Holiday Tour" BAH HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....
Loved your decor. Your table is beautiful. But I must admit that I really like the kid's corner. Thanks for the tour.
Your home looks beautiful. Thanks for giving us a tour.
Enjoy your Christmas holidayl
The kids' decorations are so fun aren't they? My kids LOVE it when I display them.
Your decor is elegant and fun....way to go Franzen Fam!
Love it! I really love the village that your mom made--so pretty!
And maybe we'll take you up on the offer of a personal tour! Who knows? :)
Your home tour is wonderful . . . but what adjective could possibly befit your blog?! Wow! I love how fun, festive and beautiful it is. Think you could give me the tutorial in an email? Okay, don't stress—I'll just wait until you visit Texas. : )
Snowflakes . . . now why didn't I think of that? Such a nice touch. And the kid's tree—perfect! I really need to do that. Copy, copy copycat. I'm totally going to steal your great ideas. : )
Awesome African Momma! I was reminded of a book we always set out when the kids were little. Whatever happened to that Christmas story? Hmmm, it must have gotten lost years back when we moved.
I had a great time with Debbie Woolsey yesterday. It was amazing to meet face to face. I told her it was time you get over here to Chitown for some cheesecake and Ginger.
